Welcome to Naturally Navy

Welcome to Naturally Navy

Hello there, lovely! I'm so happy you found me! I just wanted to say a warm welcome to you and give you a virtual hug. I have no idea what season of singleness you're in right now: just super single, in a serious relationship, in a relationship you don't feel like is going anywhere, or if you have no idea what's even going on. Regardless, I've been there. And I know how hard any one of these seasons can be.

I really just wish I could sit across the table from you, with a great cup of coffee and tea, and listen to your story, your struggles, your experiences. But since you're on the other side of computer screen instead, here's a couple of things I would love for you to keep in mind as you read this little blog!

1) Your story is your own. It's not going to be like anyone else's. As I share examples from my story, don't think that your story will be the same as mine. Don't tarnish your story by comparing it with others or by coveting someone else's story.

2) What I say here is my opinion. It's based off of my observation of myself, multiple boyfriends, an ex-fiance, a real fiance, my friends and acquaintances. While it is wisdom, it's not the Word of God and shouldn't be treated as such. I'm want all my girls at Naturally Navy to learn to think for themselves, and to form their own discerning opinions based on Scripture and the wisdom of those who have gone before.

3) I don't know your situation and circumstances. Dating is complex and depending on the situation, advice could be exactly right or horribly wrong. {That's one of the reasons I've been scared to DEATH to start blogging about it!} If you have questions about a topic, feel free to contact me but I would strongly encourage you to seek counsel from a trusted friend or mentor....someone who knows you and the situation.
